Mark Twain lake

    I have some friends going t oMark Twain Tommorrow. Any fishing reports for them on catfish? You guys have any honey holes i can turn em on to? Ive only been there once that i can remember. any help is appreciated. thx.

    If it were me going, I would hit North Fork, north of the hwy 24 bridge, and concentrate on the mud flats. Fresh shad is usually most productive, but perch works well also. Might be able to launch at the 24 bridge. Can also launch at Stoutsville. That's what I would do anyhow.

    thx Matt. I think they will be lookin for flatheads or blues. ill let ya know how they do and where they go.

    When I say 'concentrate on the mud flats', what I'm talking about is on one side of the channel, there will be a steep rocky bank. On the other side, there will be a shallower, more gradually slopeing bank. This time of year, I seem to have better luck on the flats than the deeper rockier banks.

    Yeah, MTL has nice blues, and huge flatheads.
