Planning a trip to Marion 5/12 & 5/13. We'll be staying in Santee and would really apprecaite some pointers on places to catfish on Marion. We're planning on fishing near 95, but we're flexible. Never fished Marion and we're really looking forward to catching (and releasing since neither of us likes to clean fish:)) some cats.

    What about night fishing?

    Thanks
    Don

The fishing around 95 is usually pretty good all year.Go a little north up around the state park thats where they were 2 weeks ago.Anchor down I wouldnt try to drift up there unless you want to retie 4,379 times.Give each spot at least 30 minutes if no bite move.Shad, bream, herring or white perch will work the fish will tell you.Depth on the flats 4 to 12 feet if no action on the flats which they should be try the edges of the channel. One more thing !!!BE CAREFULL!!! when you come out of the navigation channel slow down.
