Maple...

    Finally! after fishing the maple for 7 years, finally landed a flathead. Now I can branch off to other rivers more. He's 33 inches long but I didnt have my scales cause it was a spur of the moment thing. Hit a 6 inch gill just before midnight. I'll work on posting better pictures but I only had my camera phone on me and its being difficult. Curious how much you guys would guess he weighs.

    maybe 18 lbs.

    Congrats on your first flat. The fish that i have caught in that lenght range weigh about 16 to 19lbs.

    With a good girth and prespawn a 33 inch flat should be just under 20#.
