went fishing at mantua on saturday the 2nd of february and caught about 30 gills in the 6-8" range on ratfinkees and waxies they loved them suckers.
the perch loved them to. if you want to try for perch dish off of points with the smallest ratfinkee you can find. lotsa fun. watch for bad ice around the edges.

didnt go to strawberry our groug cancelled on us so we decided to go some where close. mantua was alot of fun though you otta give it a try sometime. if you do walk the dike so you dont find any bad spots and fall through. dont fish near the boat ramp its pretty well fished out.so try over by the poit that goes out theres lots of gills and perch in that area. use a ratfinkee though they cant get enough of them. thanks for the reply.
