Making your own sides...Q

    Just wondering if it really even matters if you de scale the shad and then cut them into sides??? I dont think it would because when a flatty,blue, etc eat them i doubt they pick the scales off lol... Anyone got any A's?

    read somewhere that scaling the shad lets more oil into the water. Never went swimming to find out. Next trip out, I think I will try it 50/50 and see what works best.

    i wouldnt waiste time scaling them and handle them the least i have to

    catch'em put'em in water hook'em and fish'em cut'em a little to bleed if you like but the fish arent picky if its shad they will eat it
