Making sinkers

    heres verns setup ; an electric stove set out back of his shed a half gallon cast iron pot and cast iron laddle and 2 sinker molds one with 3 5oz slots and one 12345oz slots the lead he uses is mostly wheel weights there dirty and stink bad when melting , he has to scrape the trash metal off the top of the molten lead and put in a bucket to take to the landfill heres some pics of the lead cookin he made about 30 5oz bank sinkers tonight in 15 minutes it took 1 1/2 hours for the lead to get hot enough

    Most of the time I use an oxy. acct. rig to melt my lead.
    Look for somplace that has a bin for recycling metal, throw your scrap there instead of the landfill.

    That setup looks great, the molds are smoked the right way.
