Whats the magic temp in the spring when crappie fishing gets hot in the shallows. I can't wait for the spring time bite I want to get out there in the begining this year, last year I caught the tall end of the action.

i think that they start getting hot when the water is above 55 degrees! they start moving to the 6 to 12 feet in depth.

At this rate that seems like a long ways away. Water being at 34 to 40. Once that water hits 52 I am going to be trying for them.

Well lets go, I'd like to see a big slab right now. Or maybe a couple dozen

if the water temp is around 35-40 they are going to be very deep but the are very active in this temp! try to find the deep holes and you well be caughting and bring home some nice slabs!
