Lumber River - Traveling Blues

    Because of the type of work I do I have to travel alot. I've had the opportunity to fish the Lumber river several times with below average luck. Any advice or secrets:wink:

    You could be fishing in 8 different NC counties.:big_smile:

    I grew up fishing the Lumber River on the Scotland/Hoke county lines near Wagram. I caught some nice Robins and a few nice Racoon Perch, but the only Catfish that I ever caught were mostly small to smaller Bullheads. Good luck on your fishing though!

    You were fishing where the old highway 24-15a bridge spans the river.
    The one they forgot to tear down 50 years ago is.:eek:oooh:
    Kind of odd to see a bridge in the woods like that.
