Anybody having any luck with the low water conditions on the Des Moines river?
I was on it today and did pretty good. Caught a few nice sized ones and then a nice healthy 11 pound channel. Had a flat head on cut shad that was giving me a heck of a time to get to the boat I had it surfaced and on its way into the net but it wanted nothing to do with it and bucked an rolled and popped off just out of reaching distance, it was a really nice fish...unfortunately my fishing partner had to remind me how nice it was about every 5 minutes!
It wasn't very easy to get around with the low water but it was nice to see structure you can't normally see when the water conditions are normal.

    Any luck? Let me know.
