low dams are dangreous but how many do well around them

    I have two or three low dams do real well for channel catfish flatheads carp saugeye and smallmouth bass how do you all do well near them rick

    Where do you all have the best luck at? Above it or below? How close do you try and fish? Ever try right in the falls or is the current too strong to hold fish?:confused2:
    I've never fished one but I know of one not too far away that I'd like to try.

    Below it.I usually throw a 2-3 inch twister tail up against the falls/boil and retrieve diagonally

    For me ideally I land on the dam and my line washes off. Thats when the water is high enough. Usually a killer spot in the spring and early summer for channels and an occasional flat. When its lower we wade out and fish the holes below.
