A nice little article on low dams very interesting since many of us here in ohio fish them for catfish smallmouths and saugeye very interesting on how to keep us safe rick here is the link http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/lowhead.htm considering eddie fisher died at Hutchinson low dam in december might be appropriate to revisit low dam safety

Your right neocats as spring approaches those dams just get fuller and fuller of water and it can be a potentially bad situation if your not careful.

Those lowheads are pretty dangerous obstacles, mainly because some people don't take 'em seriously...

I've been caught in a similar situation while whitewater rafting (getting caught up in the boil behind some boulders) - believe me, it ain't fun.
