low country boil

    Throwing together a low country boil. Using sausage onion garlic corn hot dogs blue crabs shrimp potatos and heatin it up with swamp fire. Anybody got a different way??

    5 lbs of shrimp, 4 table spoons of salt in 3 gallons of water, one lemon sliced one big onion sliced, 5 lbs of small whole red potatoes washed, 3 lbs of cajun sausage cut in half dozen ears of corn.

    30qt turkey cooker then In the water add the salt add one small bottle of liquid shrimp boil then cover the top of the water with powder crab boil. Bring water to a boil. Add potatoes and sauasge half of the lemon and all the onion then cook for 18 to 20 minutes after the water starts to boil. Then drop in corn allow 5 more minutes for that. Take the strainer out with the above in it. Pour over news paper on table.
    Place strainer back in and after water is boiling agian. Pour half bottle of liquid boil in and the 5 lbs of shrimp & rest of the lemon. 2 minutes shrimp will be ready. Cut off heat and let set for 1 minute.
    Drain shrimp and pour them out on table also.
    EAt and enjoy we do this 1 to 2 times per month. Everyone loves it. I fed 45 last year and everyone talked about it for months.
    I also cook up a bunch of hush puppys and do 4 or 5 blooming onions .
