Iam fairly new to this site. Have read some useful posts. I would like to say thanks to everyone for the useful info you have posted. I have still not had any luck yet this year. I fished Eagle Creek by the MArina last night and nobody was catching anything.

Welcome William! I fish Eagle Creek all the
time. The catfishing has been really poor this
year for some reason. I need to quit being so
stubborn and go fish somewhere else.

Welcome to the brotherhood William. If you are thinking about Catarac I would call and check the lake level, I was there 2 weeks ago and it was 42' above pool. It should be alot lower now, but I'm not sure what kind of rain they have had over there lately.

If you have a boat, there are some good stretches to drift on Eagle Creek. It has always been a tough lake to fish from the bank. Try the hole 400 yrds north of the lafayette rd bridge across from the old co-op building, one of the best bank spots for flatties in the lake imo. Good luck, let me know if you have a boat and I'll help you with some areas.

I've fished Eagle Creek for the last few days
since I last posted and the Channel Cats seem
to be turning on now. Not necessarly large
ones. But I've caught Several 2# plus sized
eating sized ones. They are hitting fairly
good on chicken liver on bottom. Takes a little
patience wadding through the smaller pickers
and little turtles that will pester you but
I've caught several nice ones lately. Buy the
way,I don't reccomend fishing for Channels
by the boat docks at the marina, They are
usually runts there IMO. PM me and I'll be
glad to let you know where I've been catching
    them. However, no guarantees.
