I try to take a lot of rope when I go camping, or at least some of the heavy 200# test cord seems like I'm always wanting to hang somthing up wet blankets sleeping bags, lanterns, tarps, always somthing :smile2:

Rope is like duck tape, don't go without it. Great tip. Thanks.

Funny you should mention that. My hubby is a rope freak. We always have a lot of rope when we go camping, and we almost always find a great use for it. The only problem is that I never coil it up like he wants!:confused2:

I keep several bundles of 1/4 in., 100', military cord in my truck box. Use it for everything from hunting and fishing, to camping. Refuse to cut it.

If there's a Harbor Freight Tools store near you, they have a 600' spool of 1/4" rope for $10-$12. I bought a spool 3 or 4 years ago, and I've got almost half left.
