    Fellas,
I lost a good friend and fishing brother to the war on Sunday. I just found out today that Private Joe Nurre of the Army Reserves was killed when his truck ran over a bomb in Iraq. He will be greatly missed. Prayers for his family are appreciated.
    sincerely
    Linz

that is some bad news, nutz.....may all our boys be remembered on that day...an amazing thing that a man would lay down his life for another...let us keep that in mind and not belittle one that would join the services to serve his country...brings to mind that paul is back in iraq...let's hope and pray for all the men that have put themselves in harms way for you and i

I'm very sorry to hear of yet another brother lost in the war.
As former military, and the fact that many of our brothers here are
stationed in the same place,I always stop and say a silent prayer for those who are in harms way and those we have lost.
    A couple meaningful quotes that pertain to men like him;
"No one knows the price of freedom more than a solider."
"No one wishes for peace like a solider."
Private Nuure,Rest in peace my brother.
    Your tour is done.
    God bless

    Linz,
A prayer has been said for you, and Private Joe Nurre's family. It is an honor to be able to pray for the family of someone who gave himself selflessly for our country.

    Day is done,
    gone the sun,
    From the hills,
    from the lake,
    From the skies.
    All is well,
    safely rest,
    God is nigh.

Sorry to hear that. My nephew is over there and told his mother in an e-mail that he lost a best friend yesterday and said that he wouldn't be seeing some of his other friends for a long time. He said we might see something on the news about it. That's all he would say and of course his mother is worried about him. I was talking with him for a few minutes on yahoo messenger but he stopped talking. I think maybe it was because he was upset.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. I've prayed everyday for the safe return of my son in Afghanistan...part of a recon team. Let me tell you, he just got home a month ago and I couldn't have made it without prayer, the power of it is beyond human comprehension...
We are now at war, so let's all remember the price the Veteran pays to be who he is. Let us all support our Troops, and honor our Veterans.
