Last weekend I caught a few gizzard shad and a bunch of threadfin in the hot hole. There were balls of shad along the channel edge in the southfork also, but they were deep.

THANKS, I WILL CHECK THERE. I CAN GET SOME 4" BAIT ON MT ISLAND, TRYING TO FIND SOMETHING LARGER WITHOUT DRIVING 100 MILES.

Wateree is full of good shad. In about 5 throws last Saturday we filled up a bucket half way with 6-10" gizzards.

Thanks Billfish, I had heard the bite is on too. Going to Mt. Island today. Have to stay close to the barn.

Fished for four hours with one fish about 8# to show for it. Fished main channel near Beatties Ford boat access. Water temp avg. 51-52 degrees.
