Looking for lower unit for a????

    In addition to what you have provided, we would need to know if it is a manual or electric shift. Big difference. Give us the serial number, located on the left side of the mounting bracket on the data plate.

    I believe the "EL" in the serial number indicates an electrical shift. Look on the left (Port) side of the motor, just behind the fuel pump. If it is manual, you will have a shift rod...move the throttle handle while someone looks in the general area. If you see a rod moving, your manual. If you see two wires going into the lower unit, I believe on the starboard side of the motor, its electrical. Big difference in prices. I'll send you a PM with some information I occasionally share with the members.

    adam if you want to bring it over here to my shop some time next week i can tear it down and see if it is fixable since it dont look like your having any luck....
