when are you going to get some bait so we can hit'em
As soon as the water temps start going up instead of down. We will get them in the spring thats for sure. That blue in your pic really makes you look cool Bill.:cool2:
we can catchthem now if was'nt scared
where was you at Saturday slick, Me and Chad were out fishing. Its hibernating time for flatties.
i was still catching flats thanksgiving day they arent sleeping yet!!
They are still biting but mostly smaller fish, a few bigger ones have been caught but after 50 degree water temps it gets tough.
I agree with slimcat on this one those Flats get real sluggish in this colder weather but I hear those big blues like that cold weather.
The darn blues bite year round, wish flatheads did, but I guess it makes it more exciting to catch one of those bigmouthed brutes. But I do like catching pigblues as well.
Well maybe the eville king is holding out on us, tell us your secrets Oh King.LOL
Welcome to the BOC Bill.. I have caught 20 and 30# flattys in the dead of winter but it aint on rod and reel.... I pickem up out of the flood plains when the white river floods so they dont dry up and die.. seen abunch thru the years that have been 50+ pounds that have died getting caught in the small pockets when it floods... But if you guys go out there to catch some of those Blues becareful and good luck..
i CANt wait to get out and catch some fish whatever it may be.
The blues are biting good right now on the Ohio River, go getcha some! :smile2:
