Hey all you brothers out there. I am looking for a semi tractor. Single axle. Prefer a IH 7100 or 8100, or a ford L8000 with a cummins L10 or M11. The IHs could have a DT466. Looking for something alittle older say late 80s early 90s. Under 10,000$ .

Like to find something with in 4 or 5 hrs drive from central ILLINOIS.

If you know of any or see one let me know. Just drop me a pm.

Hey Mods if this is in the wrong place or inappropriate please move or remove.
    Thanks in advance
    Bearcat.

Does it have to be a single axle truck???

My boss has 2 International transtars with 3200 gallon tanks on them that he is considering selling that might be in you price range. They have 350 cummins eng. and eaton 13 speed trans.

Hey JW No not nessicarly We are looking at a 22 or 26 ft hopper trailer. So a tandem might work if it is cheap enough. It would need a fith wheel plate on it though.

I might know someone that would be interested in the tanker thrucks though.

    Are they staniless steel tanks

Looks like a likely spot for this too. I just bought a 96 Pete 359 Ext hood for $5500, put $6500 into it and might be looking for another, price range to $20,000.00 depending on miles and condition. BTW, any owner operators out ther know the better places to lease a truck out to? I've leased it out locally to run regional, supposed to be averaging $1.59 mile loaded, getting 80% of gross load plus any fuel surcharges using their trailer. Looking to learn a little from you pro's out there. On a side note, I only own the truck, I do not drive it.
