Looking for a little insight!!

    Hello everyone this is my first post on this sight! Whoop!
    Anyway I am kinda new to the whole big game fishing but not new to fishing. i am just wondering where some good bank fishing locations are that will most likely produce 20lb - 40lb catfish. Any and all help will be greatly Appreciatedf thanks!!!

    You didn't say where you where, but you should look at the Virginia Rivers thread. Lots of good info about bank fishing on the James.

    Ahh your right I did not. Well I am located In Moneta Virginia. closest major body of water is Smith Mountain Lake. I only know of few places there and I do not have easy access to these holes. :confused2: I have been to the public boat landing on the james in buchannan but not for catfishing.

    Also I'd like to know whats a good setup rod and reel wise? and i have a rod already and id like to get 2 more setup but i have a bout a $150 limit right now. so should i just wait and get one now and get the second later? and what brands of rod reel and line to you recommend. Ive been reading good things about braided line. let me know guys! thanks!
