Well, I know it's kinda early for a thread like this, but I was just thinking back on all the new things I learned this year and thought I would share it with yall. feel free to chime in with your own lessons.
    1) I learned a new way to fillet a sardine that makes it give out a better scent trail.
    2) I learned how to catch and use mudsuckers for live bait for striper fishing.
    3) I learned a better technique for removing a swallowed hook and reviving a fish.
    4) I learned to tie a polymer knot.
    5) I learned to always check your knot before casting (I learned this the hard way!).
    6) I learned how to use a baitcast reel. Shortly after I learned how to untangle a baitcast reel!
    7) I learned that good friends are always better than good fishing (thanks fellow Cali brothers).
    8) I learned how to get my truck unstuck (3 times).
    9) I learned the proper way to anchor a houseboat ( and a few ways not to).:tounge_out:
    10) I learned that 6 Lb test is too light for live bait fishing for bass.
I'm sure I learned lots more than this, but these are the top few that come to mind. I can't wait to see what I'll learn this coming year!
    Linz:wink:
