Looking a getting a new catfish rig!

    Well I am planning on getting a Abu 6500C3 to replace my tidewater freeliner spinning reel, I am wondering is 6500C3 a good choice? looking at the new models with the drag.

    i have two of them -they are incredible reels.Abus are true tested tools of the trade for catfishermen.

    I agree with Mike. You won't have to replace it for years! I'm still using mine I got in 99 and still works great. Just upgraded the bearings and made it even smoother and better casting. It's the most reliable and user friendly reel I"ve got.

    I've got the 6500c3 and c4 and they are both great models.
