Same here, I haven't been in a while, well, two weeks. Haha, the spotted gar are so fun and easy to catch, especially when sightcasting but they just don't get that big, with 3 pounds 12 ounces being my record. The longnose are much bigger. The biggest longnose I've landed was around 6 pounds but I have seen at least 15# gar surface when I river fish for longnose, and my cousin caught a 10 pounder the first time I brought him!! :sad2: Hopefully going longnosing this weekend.:smile2:

Just wait for the spawn, just before, during and after they are everywhere on the surface. Also easy to catch and bowfish.

Why don't you kill the thread? Or post the address for the thread.
