Log jams and catfishing

    upstream, downstrem off the edge?

    on the edge or backside if it is a big tangle of brush but if it is one big log i will let it drift right up under it

    I like to anchor about twenty yards or so upcurrent from the jam. Then I will pitch two or three rods in front of the jam. Usually one towards the bank end, one towards the deeper end and one in the middle. The best bites will usually come from the end in the deeper water, but I have also got some good ones from the shallow end and the middle. Vern
