Went fishing this afternoon for white perch and Hybrids. Caught a few bass and some perch. Decided to put one of the perch on a catfish rig and used the front half of the perch. Wasn't long before the rod bent a tad and then the fish would drop it when it felt the pressure, several minute went by and it picked the bait up again and I went to free spool with my thumb on the spool, it took fifty feet of line and when I locked it down, it felt the pressure. This went on for another half hour and it didn't want to hook up. Finally I said to the fish, I'm staying locked down and if you want to meet Capt. Ahab, you better grab the bait and run and then you might get hooked and I will smile for you when you get in the LUND and then I will put you back in Norman. Here is the action

Eventually , you will 'need a bigger boat'. That fish is a beast , given the events of last year , you deserve it.
