Today I had as my quest a granddaddy and his two grandsons, ages 6 and 9. They wanted to catch some perch and a cat or two. We fished Little Creek and Mtn. Creek and had some lite wind and the water temp. was 84+ degrees.

The perch are not hitting the Sabiki Rig as good as they were last week, so I had two Zepco 11 rigged up with a small split shot, no. 6 gold hood, baited with an Euro worm (most people know them as red wigglers). The nine year old caught 13 white perch and one nine pound flathead on a white perch head. The six year old caught 9 perch and one nice channel cat. Around nine or so, they got hot with the life jackets on and we fished until 9:30 AM. and called it quits.
