I went scouting this morning for several trips coming up this weekend. I knew up front that it was going to be tuff with winds of 10 to 20 MPH, but I needed some new spots to fish. Setup was four catfish rigs behind the boat baited with bass strips and white perch filet's and heads. Also had two side planer boards out baited with bass and perch. Both trusty Sabiki rigs were out, one on each side bouncing off the bottom. Net results for 2.5 hours fishing was two small bass, eight channel cats, some perch and one carp, all off the Sabiki rigs. Not a single fish off my catfish rigs. Water temp. was 83.6 to 83.8 degrees and I had cloudy conditions. Fished in the area of Marker 6.
