My scouting earlier in the week did not pay off, because it was too foggy to go up river this morning, so I fished in Mtn. Creek. Water surface temp. was around 47 degrees, some cloud cover earlier and wind was lite and variable. Bait of choice was rainbow trout, thawed blue backs and gizzard shad. Bait of choice by the cats was gizzard shad all the way. I had my normal setup ( four Carolina type rigs out the back and two side planer boards) and I used a power drift. Bites were not many, but good! I let my guest control the rods at their request and the first two pull downs did not connect, but the third one was a charm. Total fishing time was a tad over four hours.
