I have been spending my free time deer hunting for the last month so I have been away from fishing. I have some time this coming weekend and hope to get out on the water. I was wondering if anyone has been out on LKN. The water temp. is getting close to 60 and I hear the stripers are biting. How about the catfish?

Jeff, so happens, I got a fishing report from Karl Emerson yesterday. He fished in that 20 to 25 MPH wind and the slowest he could get his drift was 1 MPH, yet he managed to get six blues (1 to 7 pound class) using fresh cut shad. He fished the center of a creek channel (30 to 40 depth). If you can find the stripers this time of year, the blues and flatheads are also in the area. He informed me that the water surface temp. was 65 degrees.

That is really encouraging. That catch in that wind is impressive. The weather for the weekend looks great, odds are good for a good bite.
