What a day to go cattin, little or no wind and cloud cover until 9 AM. Purpose of this swap trip was to introduce a bass friend of mifit98 (Mac Mc) to catfishing. Bait of choice was live white perch on side planer boards and white perch filet strips marinated in 'Dead Red Blood Spray'. Hooks were no. 8 circle and they were acquired from Black and Blue.

We started out slow, but things begin to happen when we crossed a long point with a water depth of approx. 12 to 15 feet. There we got a triple, a 22+ flathead on a live white perch, 8 pound blue on a strip, plus another smaller blue. In total we had nine catfish with a weigh range of 4+ to 22+#, with some nice 6 to 12 pounders. All in all, the fish were above average in size and this would have to be called a decent trip and the bass fisherman might have gotten the catfish bug with the flathead.

The Dead Red Blood Spray was furnished by Team Catfish, a BOC sponsor and the hooks were from Randy with Black and Blue, also a BOC sponsor. Randy and Jeff, your stuff did the job today.
