I was planning on fishing with some lizzards this weekend but have never used them before.:eek:oooh: I was hoping that someone could tell me where to hook them. Do I want them alive or do I cut them so they bleed? Any help would much appreciated. Thanks CJ:big_smile:

Have you seen them before?? I would hook them just like a bullhead of 6-8 inches long. In the lips or about where th dorsal fin would be on a bullhead I have never used them there used to be a bait shop here in Olathe that sold them around 15 years ago. Where is he getting them from Minnesota bait and fly??

i always used the small ones alive with one hook and in front of ther back legs and the bigger ones i used two hooks and i cut some and use them in half
if they die on you just freeze them and use on another trip they work dead also

I use them when ever I can find them. 8in and under we hook them behund there rear legs and the bigger ones we use two hooks some times, one in the tail and threw the lips. Like Gus said they dead or alive. Every once in a while a big large mouth will hit them when we fished with them in lakes.

We used to call them Mub Puppies. We used to catch them on rod and reel out of the Neosho when I was a kid. Have not seen one in years. Never used them for bait. I would think the base of the tail would be best and I like the idea of the second hook in the lip.
