I have a livewell/washdown pump on my pontoon. it is mounted below floor towards back of pontoon. it is a "wash down" pump for marine use. However... when I turn it on it dosent come on. I can go under boat and tap it and it will work. turn switch off and back on it it dosent work again. one little tap and it's back on... Whats the deal? cant tap it when I'm out on the lake. just on trailer.

Sounds like the pump is bad.

Sounds like its just sticking. Bilge pumps and livewell pumps do the same thing. Tear into it, spray some PB blaster into the bearings or something like Silikroil. Oil it up good and see what you got.

with using the oil on it, please remember to rinse it really good before getting it back on the water... the oil trail will lead right up to u, and the game wardon won't have anyone else to blame... lol
