Liver Trick

    recently i stumbled across a cool tip when using fresh livers on treble hooks. Tie on a snap swivel so you can take off the hook and slide the liver over the shaft of the treble. This holds it on the hook a lil bit better than trying to hook a gob of fresh liver

    works good also try it with hot dogs, and j hooks

    Thats the way I do my livers, hot dogs and anything else I use on trebles and it work good.
    With livers, I slide the top of the hook through the thick parts and then the loose parts on the hooks.

    thanks bro for that tip dad and i take and put it out in the sun with salt and garlic all over it and put it between 2 window screens so the flys dont get it and they stay on a long time.

    I tie short leaders on the hook and use a small crochet needle (with a little hook on it) the pull the line through the liver, hotdog, or whatever. Then I put it on the snap swivel.

    That does sound like a good idea but, with my luck a big ole blue would hit it and straighten the swivel! :tounge_out:
