Live Shad ?

    How in the hell do I keep Shad alive? They die as soon as I put them in the bait bucket, even with fresh water in it... I use a 8 cast net to catch em'.

    8 dollar d battery air bubbler, a 2 liter bottle with ice in it.:wink:

    Oh and also some kind of fish stuff that removes chlorine so you can change your water. I use Stress Coat. All of this is avail. at Wally World.

    You need a big round(I cant stress enough) ROUND Bait tank cuz they tend to hit there nose on the sides and poo themselves and they die.You need a good pump with a filter too

    Ya I find myself changing the water more often than I do with gills. I was thinkin just about when catching them so you can get em home. If you have the room def. build a set up with a large barrel or tub and make a filter like in the library.

    Round tank with fast moving water and some stuff called shad keeper. I like that part about how they poo themselves, too funny. :smile2:

    Dont forget to add some rock salt it really helps.
