i love using bullheads for bait and goldfish but a lot of people ive talked to say that goldfish dont work very well on the mo river. i was just wanting to get some more opinions. i live about 20 miles west of jeff city in california and looking for some good holes and fishing buddies if anyone around here is also looking get in touch with me and we can hook up for some flatboy catching.

In south Texas goldfish work great on trotlines and juglines... I hadn't tried em on R&R but I'm sure it'd work the same....

I haven’t had much luck on goldfish, maybe it’s just the luck of the draw. But bluegill and sunfish are plentiful, free, and they seem to catch catfish better.

Have used them on trotlines with good results. Haven't used them any other way.
