I can hardly contain myself! God willing, one of my life long dreams may be about to come true! I just made the deal for this trawler, which needs lots of work. I am out the door to arrange the 50 mile tow to where we will haul the boat for survey! Here is a picture of the boat and motor, I will post more pictures when I return!

    Phillip,

Thats a big setup. Whats the primary purpose of the boat, recreation, commercial, or both?

Good luck with the boat! I like fishing different waters too much to have something like that. My 20 year old motor home pulls my jonboat anywhere I want to set up camp and fish.

It was at onetime a commercial fishing boat, it is now retired and will be completly remodeled as a house boat! I hope to someday take it the 100 miles to the ocean again, but it's primary use will be a live aboard!

CONGRATS PHIL! I know about dreams, mine was always to live down here at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. I bought this small fixer upper cabin and still working on it. Whatever it takes to find that dream! At least I am here and here I will stay.;)

It would cut down on property taxes. In California it would probally be feasible to live on a boat.
I know of several barges with houses built on them.

Hope it all pans out for you. I can't think of anythng better to do than live on a boat. I would want to do it on a lake though, don't care to much for the ocean. I went overseas on a biggy, way to much water out there for me. Good luck with all your plans on it.

I lived aboard my 26ft sloop in Fla. and it was a little small your boat is a lot bigger so it should be great to live on.
