This something we have done forever but I have noticed around the lake not many people have tried it...so I thought it would be nice to pass it along to my BOC brothers and sisters.

Many people will add ice to their water when keeping minnows and perch alive because the lowered water temp helps to keep them lively (slowing down their metabolism). We simply keep a 2 litter bottle full of water frozen in the deep freeze and toss it in the ice chest with the perch and they last a long time. When we go crappie fishing we toss a couple 16 oz frozen bottles in the minnow bucket...it is simply recycling and it works great. I 'm sure many of you do this but for those who have yet to try it......do so you wont be disappointed....................see ya on the lake...........Billy
