Trying to get my 2 PENN 320's ready for fishing at REND LAKE---Can't seem to figure how much line capacity of 30 lb. test this reel would take. I have both of my 7000c3's filled with 30 lb. big game, my 2 5000's filled with 17 lb. test and 20 lb. test on my 6000 and 6500c3. I figure I'll bring my Quantum Iron 335 it's spooled with 40 lb. big game and my 2 Diawa Emblem spinning reels have 30 lb. test so all I need to do is put some on my PENN 320'S and I'm set to go. I know ILLINOIS only allows 2 rods but you just never know what might happen I figure I'll try to be prepared for anything. Also is 40 lb. big game to much for the PENN 320's and would it hurt the action of the reel? I'll probably be fishing from a pontoon boat alot of the time.

It will hold appx 275 yard of 30 and about 250 of 40. It should not hurt the performance much if any.

Thanks GATOR, I have some 40 lb. left and some 30 lb. big game left over just enough to do both reels.
