    For Crappie,
I have always done best with the submersable green light.

I've used the floaters, the submersibles and the clip on reflective lights...oh and lanterns.

I like the qbeams that walmart and the like sells. They are quiet and easy to store. They do break easy and if the seal is broken you can't fix it.

They all attract the bait fish which will attract the crappie.

    Good luck!

I like to use the floating white light for the stripper fishing.. Seems like it works better for them..
    * I'm sure it does not make that much of a difference for the fish, (They both attract plankton then shad then game fish) but it does make a difference with the insects.. The white light will attract flying insects, the green ones will not.

    Good luck!

the regular light works fine for me. it gets the crappie to concentrate on the pier i am fishing on every time i go out.
