light or dark

    my buddy and i are thinkin of doin some snow goose huntin this february but hes not sure on whats considered light geese. im pretty sure that snows, specs, and blues are all light geese am i correct? i think ross geese are light too but im not sure

    Here in New Mexico our proclamation states dark geese are 'whitefront and canadas',light geese are ;snows,blue phase snows and Ross's geese;. Hope this helps ,you might want to look at your own regulations and google a pic of a specklebelly and a whitefront too.

    The specks-white fronts are considered dark geese.

    I would check into the Ross for they are on the rare side of the population of white geese, have only seen a hand full of them and have never killed one.

    IN ILLINOIS LIGHT GESE ARE SNOWS, BLUES, AND ROSS. AND IMO ROSS DECOY EASIER THAN MATURE SNOWS AND BLUES. GOOD LUCK!
