    Bob & Bubba,
Over the winter it seems all the gas has leaked out of the lift assist cylinder on my 94 Johnson 40. The mechanic I just had it to said they are not rebuildable, and that they are very expensive to replace. I could tilt the 180# motor with two fingers before, now its pretty darn heavy to tilt, and its pushing the hyd oil through the ports like a shock, making it even harder to tilt. Do you have a good source for these, or maybe a source for a good used one?

I sent Coach a couple of those tilt assist cyl's, a couple yrs ago. He might still have one available.

They were for an older 40 hp, not even sure they'd fit yours.

    Hey Coach!
