    Well matt started the st joe 2010 ,so i guess it is time . I am planning my first trip to my hole behind the dike that i do good this time of year ,Saturdy jan 30th i am planning to head to lexington and fish from the bank ,below the dike ,anyone else that would like to join me let me know ,there is plenty of fire wood down there and it is a short walk from the parking lot ,i have some shad vacume packed from last year ,but if you make it and have any shad or skip you might bring it.I am planning on being there at noon and leaving when ever ,if they are biting then will be there all night ,if something happens ,like the river is to high or we get a foot of snow we might pospone it , this year is going to be a great year i feel some big fish coming for everyone this year;

    Yeah, the river came up 6-7 feet Sat night and Sunday. I fished off a wing dike on Sat, went back to fish again Sunday and it was 3-4 feet under water.

    Sounds like a plan, I am going to try to make it. Sounds like a good time. What kind of bait should I get? Never done any winter fishing off the bank

    Nightcrawlers can be really good for channel cats in the cold water like this.
