Man is Christmas angel to family

It was a cold December evening, I was in for the night (so I thought). As I slipped into my warm flannel p.j.'s, the phone rang. It was a neighbor lady, a single mother of three young children. She said her daughter was ill and asked if I could take her to Cabell Huntington Hospital's E.R.

I picked her and her three children up and headed to the E.R. There were several people in the waiting room, one a young friendly gentleman. He was especially nice to the three children, commenting on their manners to their mother, who watched over them with great concern, never letting them out of her sight.

They called his name. He went out of the room only to return shortly, and as he left the waiting room, he walked by the mother and dropped a rather large bill of money in her lap and said, "Merry Christmas to you and your children." The young girl looked at her mom and said, "He is a really nice man." (A child would know). I never saw the man leave. It seems he literally disappeared. She didn't have a chance to thank him.

Do you suppose he was an angel? Do you believe in miracles? God bless you all, and merry Christmas.

if he wasnt an angel it seems an angel was working through him.
that or the proof that there are still caring people in the world that
realizes the need to help and lend a hand once in awhile.
    good story .

There are people in this world that are very tender hearted. They see the hurt and pain and lonliness and they feel compelled to do something. Are there Angels? Yes the Bible says they exist,so I believe they do.Are they walking among us? Possibly,we are told in Hebrews Chapter 13 verse 2 Do not forget to entertain strangers for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained Angels. I hope my response to this thread doesn't get kicked over to Religion. I was just giving my humble opinion.~~~Sister Pat:big_smile:

Glad you liked the story. I did too.

Angel? I don't know. Maybe folks should just behave that way.

I have to wonder, when this seems "above and beyond" so much that it must be "divine", how far have we sunk?

Just do what is right, you know what that is.

    Be nice to someone today.
Merry Christmas, and a Happy Yule!
