    Ok all of you n.m. bocmembers i have a challenge lets all try to do some posting on this thread this year im sure some members from other states think we all work so much we never get to fish

    I live at Ute Lake, we get lots of folk down from Albq. ,glad to have ya on the site .

    I haven't been to Ute yet, I'll have to change that. I've been to Santa Rosa and Sumner quite a bit chasing walleye. I can't remember, is Ute or Conchas the closest to TX?

    Richard, My dad used to fish the Gila River west of Silver City and always caught fish.

    Ute is closer to the TX line Jim ,I'm about an hour east of Chonchas and thirty minets from the state line :big_smile:

    Heard of a few channels bein caught ,But mostly bass and walleye right now ,these cooler temps have woke em up.

    I hear ya ,Jim . My wife is gettin to the point of no return ,when it comes to catfish ,seems she likes bass better . and wont hardly eat cats now since i dont fish for anything else :smile2:But I do love a mess of walleye.

    Hey Richard,
    Have you ever been icefishing? I usually go up to Eagle Nest Lake a few times during the winter for trout and yellow perch. They usually get safe ice around Christmas/New Years time frame. Have a good one, Jim

    Never been ice fishing,Jim. I wouldn't mind trying it once . I do love to snag those Kokanee salmon at eagle nest in early nov. tho.

    Hello Richard,
    If you want to try it this winter all you'll need is warm clothes and BOOTS. I have everything we'll need on the ice. My buddy up there has a 4 wheeler to get around. Did you go snagging this year? Jim
