Lemon Bread

    Preheat oven to 350
    1 Stick butter, softened

    3/4 C Sugar

    1/4 C Lemon Juice

    2 Eggs

    1tsp. Baking Powder

    1/2 C Milk

    1/2 Tbsp Lemon Rind

    1/2 C Finely Ground Walnuts

    Grease a medium loaf pan and set aside.

    Cream first 3 ingredients together then add the rest in order.

    Pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick stuck in center comes out clean.

    Cool pan on wire rack for 30 minutes or so.

    Turn loaf onto a plate and slice for serving.

    Pour glaze on top while still warm, if desired.

    1/4 C. Lemon Juice
    1/2 C. Sugar
    Punch little holes on top of the baked bread with toothpicks and pour glaze over them.
