So, I went to local lake lake keowee, water temp was 61 F. I decided to try some lead core along with my other trolling rigs. I rigged the rods with live herring trolled around about 30 minutes and baaaaaaammm, bait clicker zings about a million clicks second.... thought I had a nice cat on but when I pull it to the surface I find out it is a nice spotted bass. Landed a few more . The lead core worked awesome though, i didn't even have to use any weights to get the herring down... and it stayed down trolling about 2-3 mph.

Jason, nice catch! We use leadcore a lot in some of the local lakes. Next to a downrigger it works great. We've trolled with as many as 18 colors of 12lb and 18lb lead. Some days we get as many bass as we do trout.
