What about you kyle, where in indiana do you live? Me and big catfish64 has been making egg and no roll sinkers. If you lived close enough we might be able to help you out.

hey you guys if your coming to the gathering bring your lead an things ill have my molds an pots with me if wont to us them
I live in Hamilton County (carmel area). To those of you round here (southside of Indy up to Muncie) I'd be willing to pay ya for some no-roll sinkers & casting sinkers.
No-roll: 3oz - 8oz
Casting sinkers: 1/2oz - 4oz
Hey if you guys (bigcatfish64 and catfishcatcher) want to get together let me know. Im in Muncie and got a mold and some lead. I just don't have a good way of melting it. I have been doing it a school in the basement with a hot plate but it takes forever. Plus I don't know how much my advisor would like it if he knew.
I need to talk to my neighbor and see if he is going to get me some lead... said he could but it was a short convo. he prolly forgot
Hey shad man get with BIGCATFISH64 and we will set up a date and time and we will try to get you some made. Bryan me and bigcatfish64 can make no roll sinkers but only 3,4 and 5oz. Sorry my mold doesnt have any biggers ones in it. If you really want some this year I guess we could make some but not sure how you would get them. I dont go to indy much, but me and bigcatfish64 will be going there the first of june to pick up whiskers67 from the airport for our ohio river trip. Let me know and maybe we can work something out. Same goes for you also kyle.
I used a gas grill to melt some the last time. It takes less than an hour to get it hot enough in an old 8" skillet.
I believe the fastest way I've seen it done was wsith a hot plate and an iron skillet
Shad man was melting his lead with a hot plate and small iron skillet and he said it took several hours to get it hot enough. I have a lee production pot and this is by far the quickest way to melt and pour led. It is electric and has a adjustable temp setting. It usually takes about 15-20 minutes to get hot enough then im pouring led. This method is also much safer. They are listed in the bass pro catalogs for around $90.00. If you pour a lot of lead or make your own lures I would suggest to you in making the investmet you wont be sorry you did. Ask shad man what he thought about the production pot if you have any other questions. Hope this helps.
