Had a pretty good night fishing last night. Was able to catch bluegill in the spot I catsish which is always nice. But, the first one I caught was an 18 pound flat but, he fought like he was 30 pounds he fought harder then a 25 pounder I caught last week. I got him to the bank and thought he was done and then he took about 20 yards of line out with him and then he took some more. I was really impressed with this fish and this flat had a real light color to it also. Then I caught about a 5 pounder and then I missed two later but, I mean within two hours they were hitting good if I would had some more bluegill im sure I would have caught at least another nice one. Its only two fish but, I fish this place for size i usually catch at least one big one every time I go.

Jason, congrats on a good catch. My brother and I also had a good night last night. We landed 5 flatheads between 8 and 25 pounds. All on live shad. Vern

They dont stay alive anywhere near as long as a bluegill will....Shad are the biggest sissys on the planet i think....Half of them die when you look at them
