What are the chances, my largest is also a Blue one right around the 700 mark the fish measured 12' 11". My wife and myself caught it in Puerto Vallarta on a 8lb live tuna. Its the fish stretched out on the back of the boat in my avatar. Unfortunately the fish got rapped in the line and died during the battle, we donated the fish to the locals in the marina so it would not go to waste....

The biggest fish I ever caught, I never put in the boat. I was fishing the dock between Radio island and Morehead City near the railroad bridge. I had a fist sized fish head on my big rig and let it drift under the docks. When the bait clicker went off and I set the hook, I knew i was in for a fight and before I got the fish up I had a good number of boats around wanting to see what I had.
It was a shark of some kind but it was as orange as if it were covered in "Tang" drink powder. No one there knew what he was and although a few have guessed it to be a Nurse shark, The nurse has a mouth out front like a catfish and this things mouth was well back under the body and looked just about like the mouth of a sting ray.
My boat is a 15 and 1/2 foot Astroglass and this fish was not quite half as long. I never got a weight and although I did grab him by the tail I decided I really didn't want him in my boat with me..

BTW, if anyone has any idea what this thing may have been, PLease PM me or post. Thanks.
