Which lanterns do everyone prefer: gas or propane?
I use 4 propane lanterns. all colemans
Propane here Dont have to pump it up. Light and go. lol
neither- i have a coleman battery one that is rechargable.as long as it has a full charge i've had mine on all night long and it never goes dead.alot easier than propane or gas. the only downside is that it is not as bright but it still does the job for me
I use the colman propane.
I use the coleman gas laterns, one can of fuel will last a long time.
I agree! I have several battery and rechargable ones that I love. Just added a solar one recently. This reminds me I better go check on my tent at Mom's and see how she is today.
Now get that pic up there. Need help? Ask Dreadnaught or JW as we call him.
We are on an avatar benefit here. Please put up a pic. Or Dreadnaught and several others here can help you, if you need it.
Coleman rechargable .
I use the "Coleman Family-Size" rechargable lantern. It recharges off 120, and any cigarette lighter of a car. Comes in handy, and it has a great night lite...... Not that I need a night light....:tounge_out:
i use propane but latley ive been fishing with no light just been using one of those lights that clip on your hat, not real bright but good enough to tie on a hook .
I use 2 Coleman propane lanterns. I usually set one on the bank well clear of the shore and my fishing area. If I can park my Expedition close to my fishing area, I'll open the back, tie a lantern to the strap inside the hatch, and all my rigging and/or campstove cookin' is done right there.
battery is what I use the most. I take my technology but not to the extreme.
I did grow up on gas and I will leave on gas. PMF kind.
I still use my old (1950s and 1960s) era liquid fuel Coleman lanterns.
I've tried many over the years but never found any type that works as well as my old gas Coleman Power House. Battery units Never found one that put out enough light and seemed like I was always changing batteries in them. Pro units are alright but they still don't put out light like my old gas unit. I have two now 1 new Pro. & 1 old gas,the new Pro.is for others to use. The Power House everyone knows "hands off" that's my lantern. I bought my Coleman Power House lantern about 25 years ago and to date haven't found anything that works as well.
i have both gas and propane i prefer the propane one
I have a propane laturn, but I intend in the future(Hopefully) to get a coleman Northstar runs on white gas and unleaded. ----------pk powell:smile2:
I use a variety of old miner's and railroad lamps that burn calcium carbide. Work well, last a long time, and oh what a smell.
What I keep in my truck is run off of batter's. when I camp, I use both gas and Propane. Depends.
Use to use propane but recently went to battery powered lanterns much less grief and light quality is comparable
